The joint essential numerical range, compact perturbations, and the Olsen problem
Abstract. Let T1, . . . , Tn be bounded linear operators on a complex Hilbert space H. Then there are compact operators K1, . . . , Kn ∈ B(H) such that the closure of the joint numerical range of the n-tuple (T1−K1, . . . , Tn−Kn) equals to the joint essential numerical range of (T1, . . . , Tn). This generalizes the corresponding result for n = 1. We also show that if S ∈ B(H) and n ∈ N then t...
متن کاملSupercyclic tuples of the adjoint weighted composition operators on Hilbert spaces
We give some sufficient conditions under which the tuple of the adjoint of weighted composition operators $(C_{omega_1,varphi_1}^* , C_{omega_2,varphi_2}^*)$ on the Hilbert space $mathcal{H}$ of analytic functions is supercyclic.
متن کاملextend numerical radius for adjointable operators on Hilbert C^* -modules
In this paper, a new definition of numerical radius for adjointable operators in Hilbert -module space will be introduced. We also give a new proof of numerical radius inequalities for Hilbert space operators.
متن کاملThe spectral properties of differential operators with matrix coefficients on elliptic systems with boundary conditions
Let $$(Lv)(t)=sum^{n} _{i,j=1} (-1)^{j} d_{j} left( s^{2alpha}(t) b_{ij}(t) mu(t) d_{i}v(t)right),$$ be a non-selfadjoint differential operator on the Hilbert space $L_{2}(Omega)$ with Dirichlet-type boundary conditions. In continuing of papers [10-12], let the conditions made on the operator $ L$ be sufficiently more general than [11] and [12] as defined in Section $1$. In this paper, we estim...
متن کاملThe Spectral Scale and the Numerical Range
Suppose that c is an operator on a Hilbert Space H such that the von Neumann algebra N generated by c is finite. Let τ be a faithful normal tracial state on N and set b1 = (c+ c )/2 and b2 = (c− c)/2i. Also write B for the spectral scale of {b1, b2} relative to τ . In previous work by the present authors, some joint with Nik Weaver, B has been shown to contain considerable spectral information ...
